We encourage applications from candidates interested in helping us achieve this vision.The Associate Director of Communications will plan and execute a strategy for ensuring the excellence of Rhodes' online presence. Manage both high-profile and departmental projects related to online communications and technology. Consult with departments campus-wide regarding integrated communications campaigns. Measure and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns. Analyze data from site usage logs, e-mail campaigns, search engine and other sources to evaluate effectiveness of online communications and suggest ways for improvement. Assist the media relations manager with coordination of the college's response to inquiries or events requiring a public or an official statement; serve as the college's official spokesperson when assigned. Content development for the various publications and promotional facets of the college, including but not limited to the college website and tertiary sites, Facebook, Twitter, and other developing media and social outlets. Management of videography tasked with scripting, coordinating, filming and editing multiple, general purpose videos each semester, as well as assisting academic and administrative departments with their videography projects. Promote Rhodes to outside media by establishing relationships with reporters and writers in a position to place our stories nationally. Editing content for various publications, especially Admission publications, to assist in brand management and consistent messaging. Assist in ensuring the Rhodes visual brand meets the test of the filters developed by the Communications staff. Position requires occasional evening and weekend work.Bachelor's degree required. Requires 5-7 years of experience in strategic communications, digital content production, project planning and management. Solid understanding of project management processes, Web technology, and Web editing software, including content management systems. Excellent editing, proofreading, communication and organizational skills. Experience managing websites and social media campaigns. Experience in media relations. Ability to clearly communicate the college message in high-stress situations. Experience working with outside vendors and extraordinary ability to multitask and delegate appropriately. Ability to formulate strategy and lead and/or work in teams to achieve goals. Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with diverse constituents in media appropriate for online consumption. Experience in video production and script writing.
