Clemson University is accepting applications and nominations for the role of Associate Dean of Students/Executive Director-Office of Community & Ethical Standards. The Associate Dean-OCES provides senior leadership to Clemson University's student conduct program and oversees the development of a five-year strategic plan for the Office of Community & Ethical Standards.
This individual serves as a University Chief Judicial Officer and expert on matters regarding student discipline and procedures. Oversees the delegation of appropriate cases to the student peer review boards. The Associate Dean also serves as the primary contact for students, faculty, staff, University/Community Police reference conduct and behavioral issues. Additionally, this individual supervises two Associate Directors, an Executive Support Specialist, an Administrative Specialist, a graduate assistant, and two undergraduate student workers.
This Associate Dean is charged to design and implement a systematic review of the student discipline process on matters that will enhance the effectiveness of the campus discipline program. In addition, this individual is responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of assessment tools that evaluate student learning outcomes and the services provided by the Office of Community & Ethical Standards. Finally, an additional responsibility of this role is to advise the recruitment and selection of student peer review board members.
The minimum qualifications for this role are a master's degree and 6+ years of related work experience. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph. D or Ed. D in higher education, social science, or other related field and have 8 or more years of related work experience.
