Prospect Management Analyst

The Prospect Management Analyst is responsible for providing analysis of institutional data and prospect management services to internal customers within Development and Alumni Relations who are responsible for fundraising and engagement among all constituents. The Prospect Management Analyst supports Lehighs development activities by serving in a collaborative, client-facing, partnership role with fundraisers and other departments. The person in this position will work on processes associated with on-going relationship management, including building and maintaining Gift Officer portfolios, defining and implementing methods to evaluate and drive portfolio productivity, monitor key measures of Gift Officer activity, and help to ensure the effective and timely capture of relationship management data. The Prospect Management Analyst will design and execute projects and procedures for the identification of new prospects for campaign initiatives and portfolio development.

* Prospect management support

* Execute pipeline updates for the Major Gifts Team and other fundraisers, while adhering to prospect management departmental policies and procedures

* Coordinating and responding to prospect management requests, including preparing ad-hoc reports for staff, providing instruction on all prospect management areas of the database and maintaining data integrity and accuracy in these areas at all times

* Assist in the Gift Officer credit process and manage the assignment and reassignment of prospects

* Works closely with the Director and Associate Director to study internal and external data to help discover, analyze, classify and maintain prospects capable of making philanthropic contributions to the University

* Provide strategic analysis to ensure Lehighs fundraising efforts are focused on working with the right donors at the right time

* Manage prospect management error reports and data clean-up efforts

* Provide ongoing client service: respond to prospect management needs, questions and requests through in-person meetings, telephone and email

* Coordination of the Major Gift portfolios and portfolio reviews

* In collaboration with the Associate Director of Prospect Management, manage and create individual Gift Officer portfolios, routinely evaluating content, size and value; while implementing and recording strategic moves and solicitations

* Demonstrate ability to build and run dashboards in Tableau software to assist in the creation of reports to support portfolio optimization.

* Work with fundraisers to facilitate the assignment of newly identified or upgraded prospects and assist with processing portfolio transfers and reassignments as needed

* Assist/lead in-person portfolio reviews to help development colleagues skillfully manage the Universitys prospects and lead focused conversations about prospects and portfolios

* Assist in the development of strategies for engagement with major gift prospects through consultative portfolio review and recommendation

* In collaboration with the Gift Officers, review portfolios as part of the off-boarding process and strategize on reassignment of prospects

* Data management and project support

* Demonstrate the ability to understand, create and manipulate data sets using Excel and/or other statistical software

* Utilize appropriate tools for the visualization of data and its analysis; organize visualized metrics into useful delivery systems

* Participate in the implementation and integration of a new CRM and the development of related Prospect Management business flow and processes.

* In conjunction with the Associate Director of Prospect Management, evaluate priority levels for projects depending on need, impact and buy-in; set reasonable timelines and deadlines for project delivery

* When communicating with clients, work to understand their point of view, define actionable and tangible objectives and determine the scope of the project

* Assist the Director and Associate Director on prospecting for campaign initiatives; record, collect, and segment project data into a clear and concise manner allowing for transparency across Development and Alumni Relations

* Assist on special projects and perform other duties as assigned

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

* One to three years related work experience (Higher Education experience preferred)

* Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

* Must be motivated and dedicated to the goals of advancing Higher Education

* Strong technical skills

* Ability to work independently on projects and as a part of a cohesive team

* Ability to analyze and synthesize data

* Ability to interact well with all levels of the organization for the purpose of acquiring information and prioritizing work assignment

* Ability to meet deadlines and work under time constraints

* Strong commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent judgement

* Solid computer skills with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software

* Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, county and national criminal background checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance. Based upon the requirements of the position Lehigh may also request credit history reports, motor vehicle checks and professional license/certification verification
