COLLEGE ASSISTANT LECTURER POSITION IN BIOLOGY - FULL TIME; NON-TENURE-TRACK

Position: College Assistant Lecturer - full time, non-tenure-track;
Start Date: August 20, 2018
Duties: Cleveland State University is searching for active, academically and culturally diverse faculty of the highest caliber.
Primary duty includes teaching introductory and major level core courses for the Biology major - (See "Degrees & Programs of Study" and "Course Descriptions" at http://www.csuohio.edu/sciences/bges/biological-geological-and-environmental-sciences. Additional expectations include service and contributions to the broad programmatic activity of the department, college and university.
Minimum: Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. degree in a Biological science or related field by July 1, 2016. Demonstrated experience with a minimum of 21 semester hours of teaching biological sciences at the college or community college level; commitment to excellence in teaching; and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred: Experience with large class instruction and online learning systems such as Blackboard. Ability to teach majors and non-majors courses that will best strengthen our Biology program. Ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications.
