Position Summary/ Purpose of Position
Provide executive level administrative support to the Dean of a fast-growing, fast-paced school. Liaise with School, internal and external persons at all levels in support of the Dean's activities. Exercise primary responsibility for administrative functions including scheduling; contact management; drafting correspondence, speaking points, and memos; travel arrangements; and expense management. Support information flow and management in an environment with multiple, changing priorities, ensuring it is readily available for use by the Dean and senior management. Contribute to the development of briefing materials in preparation for meetings, events, and other engagements of the Dean. Supervise Dean's Suite Administrative Assistant/Receptionist; co-manage a team of graduate student administrative assistants and student workers; via subordinates, oversees front office management including procurement of supplies, travel and reimbursements for key staff, faculty support, and logistics.
Bachelor's degree required. Five years of experience in an administrative or operational work environment with a high volume of work in an academic or administrative setting such as a department or college office.
Ability to handle confidential matters with diplomacy and discretion. Strong computer skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and the Google Suite. Proven ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
