Weekend Floaters are part-time (16 hours per week) positions, responsible for providing weekend coverage in a residential home setting; in either a Direct Support Professional or Awake Overnight capacity. During their assigned hours, floaters must be willing, and able, to work at any residential program at short notice. Floaters may be hired to work at either Mental Health or Developmental Disability residential programs. Access to reliable transportation is required, to ensure the floater's ability to travel to different sites quickly and efficiently.
Residential direct support staff are members of a team, responsible for providing high quality direct care services to adults with mental illness. Each direct support staff member is responsible for ensuring that the human rights of all individuals served are met. Staff are responsible for treating all individuals with dignity and respect. Direct support staff are responsible for supporting individuals in the completion of their daily routines; and for ensuring persons served live a safe, healthy, enjoyable life in the community. Direct support staff are responsible for ensuring that individuals are provided with opportunities to learn and exercise, increasing independence as much as is practicable.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. High school degree or GED required
Experience: One to two years human services experience with similar population preferred
Skills: Must have Driver's license. Must be MAP certified, CPR/1st aide within five months of hire (training provided)
Three Shifts Available:
Overnight - Sat-Sun 11pm-7am
Day - Sat-Sun 7am-3pm
Evening - Sat-Sun 3pm-11pm
