Administrative Assistant - Community Support Program

NSMHA is seeking an organized and friendly Administrative Assistant to join our Community Support Program. As the Administrative Assistant, you would be responsible for supporting the administrative operations of CSP and supporting the needs of the CSP Manager and staff. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for data entry including, but not limited to registrations, discharges, third party billing, and participates in the overall quality management of the program.

Responsibilities Include:
  1. Register new clients. Update and maintain program census, complete discharges through AR plus.
  2. Enter /Track data regarding new authorizations.
  3. Submit all third party billing. Follow up with contractors regarding denials.
  4. Verification of Insurance eligibility, follow up with staff regarding discrepancies.
  5. Ensure all client records/charts are opened, organized, closed and transferred. Monitor updates.
  6. Maintain and populate database systems.
  7. Perform general clerical and office duties such as typing, office triage for visitors and telephone encounters, schedule meetings, appointments.
  8. Complete preliminary quantitative audits for 100% of CSP client records.
  9. Coordinate weekly staff time sheets.
  10. Sort all outside and interoffice mail.
  11. Assist the reception staff of the clinics as needed.

Requirements:

Skills: Ability to manage in a busy environment required. Basic word processing and computer skills a must. Knowledge of Windows application required (Word, Excel and Access) Knowledge of office procedures required. Organizational skills and the ability to work with people.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.

Experience: Strong administrative experience in an office setting required.
