Job Duties: Responsible for creating and operationalizing models and other advanced analytics. Specifically, execute parts of the modeling process, including requirements, design, delivery and measurement (accuracy rate and ROI) of predicted models, forecasts, and other statistical techniques. Each of these outputs will be leveraged in a variety of ways. Responsible for data mining models to predict customer behavior, such as voluntary churn, likelihood of payment, response to an outbound campaign, and fraudulent behavior. Work on segmentation models to be used in customer/geographic segmentation identification (i.e. target segments, store/market segments). Responsible for creating forecasts to predict enterprise metrics, such as defects, gross adds, customer base, calls to care, device sales, and bad debt expense. Create and operationalize other analytical techniques to determine the performance of scenario based outcomes and predictions like device price elasticity, predicted impact of a credit deposit range, and predicted impact of device price change. Additionally, manage small and medium intra-team projects, as well as small cross-team assignments. Position requires minimum travel of less than 25% to training and U.S. Cellular meetings.
Requirements: The position of Advanced Analytics Consultant requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Business Analytics or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate related experience. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Business Analytics or a related field plus three (3) years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate related experience.
Specific Skills or Other Requirements: Additionally, the applicant must have experience with: 1. Choosing and applying appropriate multivariate statistical techniques such as logistic regression, cluster analysis, ANOVA, etc. 2. At least one programming language such as SAS, R, SQL C, C++, or python 3. Gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and statistical output. 4. Supporting business strategy by effectively relating analysis results to business context 5. Presenting complex technical results in oral and written presentations to non-technical audiences. 6. Leveraging financial techniques i.e ROI, NPV and Cashflow to measure overall campaign or project success.
