SUMMARY

The Trauma Therapist functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess, evaluate, and address the client's emotional and psychological needs. The Trauma Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy as indicated.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides and coordinates a continuum of evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment services to child victims of abuse, ages 3-17, and their non-offending caregivers.
  • Provides comprehensive evidence-based assessments of client's needs. Tracks and monitors client progress through continued reassessment.
  • Participates in the planning, implementation and updates of individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
  • Develops and completes a clinically appropriate discharge plan for patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, client, and family as appropriate.
  • Participates on the multidisciplinary case review committee to serve as a clinical consultant, enhance case coordination, and improve outcomes for clients.
  • Facilitates programming as indicated for individual, group, and family work.
  • Maintains necessary chart documentation and reporting, in compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Provides community outreach and education as requested.
  • Participates in professional educational opportunities and regular supervision .

  • Participates in the quality assurance process.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     Education and/or Experience
    Master's Degree in social work, counseling, or psychology required. LPC, LCPC, LSW, LCSW preferred.
    One to three years' experience working in trauma-informed services, with children, or with sexual assault/abuse survivors required.

    Computer Skills
    Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    LPC, LCPC, LSW, LCSW preferred.
