Assistant Director, Office of Equity and Diversity
The University of West Florida (UWF) Department of Equity and Diversity in Pensacola, FL invites applications for a full-time Assistant Director (111490). Specifically, we are interested in candidates with primary expertise in diversity focused community relationships and who can serve as a back-up for an EO or Title IX investigation.
Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent oral communication and presentation skills and tactfully work with diverse people, situations, and ideas. Candidates will demonstrative the ability to multitask and have strong organizational skills. Candidates should be able to create and implement programs and activities that educate and promote different forms of diversity, host educational sessions in addressing issues in diversity and have proven ability to work independently. Sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of diverse constituents is required. This position will have daily contact with various UWF offices in regards to employee or student retention issues, diversity and multicultural issues, and other outreach initiatives to create a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable learning and working environment at UWF and in the greater community. This position works closely with the Executive Director of Equity & Diversity in strategic planning and budgeting.
Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience: or a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.
