Manager, Transfer Credit Evaluation (FT) - Advising
Effective immediately: (FT) Manager, Transfer Credit Evaluation in Wilmington University's Advising Department - New Castle site.
Requirements: A master's degree is required. Experience in advising and/or counseling preferably in higher education. Experience evaluating transfer credits. Previous managerial experience required. Previous experience with Banner preferred. Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Must be detail oriented and able to work with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products. The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation is a must.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Oversee department operation and manage full-time and part-time staff.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of University transfer credit policies and procedures.
Serve as liaison to all undergraduate Colleges. Work with Deans and Program Chairs to ensure all transfer credits are approved by their respective academic division.
Work with the office of Admissions to ensure timely evaluation and loading of transfer credits upon receipt of official transcript(s).
Assist other departments in identifying and resolution of discrepancies/issues with Degree Audit and Banner.
Oversee maintenance of CollegeTransfer.net.
Provide training/communication regarding transfer credit evaluations with other sites.
Prepare assessment reports of department activity.
Assist other areas of the University on current degree requirements.
Strategic planning to develop, implement, maintain ongoing and expanding operations, and best practices.
Other duties which may be assigned by the Director.
Hours of Employment: Monday - Friday - Generally, working hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. However, the candidate must have the flexibility with their schedule and/or hours to meet the needs of the department and/or the University. The candidate may work a combination of day and late hours, and occasional Saturdays.
