WFC's Before & After School program is looking for energetic candidates who enjoy working with young children.
Responsible for: providing homework help and engaging children in the program's fun, interactive S.T.A.R. (science, technology, art and recreation) enrichment and literacy curriculum activities. Will also be responsible for assisting with lesson planning, maintaining classrooms according to State Licensing Regulations, using developmentally appropriate practice while interacting with children at all times, and upholding all obligations of being a mandated reporter.
Monday through Friday (10 - 25 hrs/wk) 6:30am- 8:30am AND/OR 2:30pm - 6pm
High School diploma
Some experience working with elementary school aged children
Be 18 years of age (per CT DPH licensing requirments)
Bilingual a plus
TB Testing and Physical Examination required. Fingerprinting, DCF and criminal background checks also required.
