Under direction of the Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies, incumbent provides administrative oversight and support to the Division of Graduate Studies in the areas of student records, degree progress, and enrollment data management. Incumbent helps to develop programs and business processes to optimize the handling of graduate student support in service of the retention of our graduate students and timely completion of their graduate program. Incumbent serves as campus liaison to Postdoctoral Scholars and Academic Student Employees.
This position requires passing a pre-employment criminal history background check. Selected candidates cannot begin work until passing their background check. Please note: Time required to complete this process may vary and can be lengthy.
Working with a dynamic and productive team in the graduate division, you will interface with graduate division staff, graduate program advisors, graduate students and faculty to develop programs, policies, and business processes to optimize the delivery of graduate student support services for the retention of our graduate students and timely completion of their graduate program. You will make the difference in many graduate student lives as they move through many years of graduate research and education.
* Excellent research and analytical skills sufficient to analyze information and highly complex and multi-faceted problems and situations, and suggest and implement action plans.
* Demonstrated experience in setting clear goals and objectives.
* Administrative experience, including budgeting and financial management.
* Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
* Writing skills sufficient to prepare correspondence, reports, and proposals with speed and efficiency.
