Involves planning, developing, implementing and advising on programs, services, activities and processes for students in their non-academic life at the university, including residential life, public service, student conduct and judicial affairs, identity-based matters, sexual violence, leadership development, student government, student businesses, student organizations, and other student resource center areas.

Using professional student services theories and concepts, performs a limited range of duties and responsibilities within a Student Life program. Works independently to provide information and interpretation of clearly defined policies, procedures and regulations. Receives direction regarding more complex issues and / or program(s). Identifies individual student needs for programs and services and advises on appropriate programs and resources.

Under the general supervision of the AARCC Director, the Program Coordinator will coordinate multiple programs, provide substantial administrative support, and perform supervisory duties of student interns for the African American Resource & Cultural Center. The AARCC Program Coordinator will work with student populations and issues as they relate to academic success and personal development in a comprehensive university setting. The incumbent will also assist in developing and executing co-curricular, academic, educational and collaborative programming amongst all the Resource Centers in partnership with other Division of Student Success units and academic departments, with particular focus on AARCC programs. Resource Centers include African American Resource and Cultural Center (AARCC), American Indian Resource Center (AIRC), Asian American/Pacific Islander Resource Center (AA/PIRC), El Centro: Chicanx Latinx Resource Center, Women's Center, and Lionel Cantu Gay Lesbian Bi Trans Intersex Resource Center (Cantu Queer Center).

Resource Centers serve as safe and respectful environments that nurture and support interaction among undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff and the community at large. The primary goal of Resource Centers is the promotion of awareness and social justice through high quality programming and leadership development, and the creation of an atmosphere where learning is embedded in academic, social, and cultural programming. In addition to programming, Resource Centers and its staff provide a myriad of services including: advocacy for students, referrals to campus and community resources, advising, counseling and crisis support, academic support, and support for retention. The Resource Centers include the following units: African American Resource & Cultural Center (AARCC), American Indian Resource Center (AIRC), Asian American/Pacific Islander Resource Center (AA/PIRC), El Centro: Chicano Latino Resource Center, Lionel Cantu Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender , Intersex Resource Center (Cantu Queer Center), and the Women's Center. The Managing Director also serves as the Director of Asian American/Pacific Islander Resource Center.
