The School of Education is nationally accredited through NCATE and all credential programs are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC). Responsibilities of Brandman University full-time faculty include teaching, mentoring and service. Research activities are supported, but not required. All faculty positions are non tenure track, primarily hired at the rank of Assistant Professor, however, higher rank will be considered if appropriate. The faculty member will be responsible for oversight/instruction of courses within the Single Subject Credential and Master of Arts in Teaching programs. The faculty member will supervise and support adjunct faculty within the credential and masters programs across multiple campuses. This position is effective August 2018.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Doctorate in education or a related discipline
* Single Subject Teaching Credential
* English Learner Authorization or CLAD certification
* At least 5 years of experience as an secondary teacher in diverse settings
* Expertise in educational technology, linked learning and STEAM curriculum integration
* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Strong ability to collaborate
* Experience with distance learning and academic technology
* Teaching experience in higher education
* Experience with WASC, CCTC, and/or CAEP accreditation desired
