Position Description
Under general administrative supervision the Research Assistant II conducts a variety of established research and clinic functions. The Research Assistant travels to participant's homes and is responsible for administrating neuropsychological, lifestyle and physical function tests. In addition to administrating test the Research Assistant II is also responsible for drawing blood and obtaining additional specimens as required by research protocol. Research Assistants receive comprehensive training focused on test administration and the proper techniques and protocols for drawing blood. Frequent off-site travel, and travel outside the metropolitan Chicago area is required in this role. The Research Assistant II is responsible for their transportation and must be willing to travel to meet program and participant needs. Reimbursement for millage will be provided at the standard mileage rate. Travel arrangements for work outside of the state will be arranged with the assistance of the department.
