Segal, with a start date of September 1, 2013. Duties will include participation in the development of research and intervention projects in conflict areas in the US and abroad, project implementation, analyses of qualitative and quantitative data, writing up results and collaborating with colleagues. To qualify for the position, applicants must have completed their doctoral dissertations in social work or a related field by the start date of September 1, 2013. While experience with mental health research and practice as well as social conflict issues are important, analytic ability, writing and quantitative research skills are required. The salary range for this 12-month position is $44,340-$56,856 plus benefits, depending on years of research experience. The initial appointment is for a year and may be extended for a second year. SUMMARY OF PURPOSE: Each of the 10 college-wide Academic Divisions has an Academic Dean assigned. The Academic Deans report to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs. Deans lead by coordination and collaboration, working closely as a Deans' Cabinet to ensure common practices and procedures. The primary responsibilities of the deans are to support the academic mission and purposes of the College and to serve as academic leaders. The Academic Deans supervise departments and faculty college-wide. Successful candidates will be members of a union and will supervise employees working under collective bargaining agreements. The employee is expected to work in a multi-cultural diverse working environment.
