The Panofsky Fellowship honors SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory's founder and first Director, Wolfgang K. H. Panofsky. It is intended to recognize exceptional and promising young scientists who would most benefit from the unique opportunity to conduct their research at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.

The Fellowship is awarded without regard to a candidate's particular specialty within our programs. While an emphasis will be placed on the potential for innovation and growth of new opportunities as their career develops, the candidate's research plan should relate one or more areas within the general scope of the science program at SLAC (https://sites.slac.stanford.edu/cro/panofsky-fellowship).

Candidates should be early in their career but have demonstrated experience at the postdoctoral level with clear potential for exceptional scholarship, breadth, innovation, and leadership. The appointment carries a five-year term at SLAC, with salary and benefits commensurate with the experience of the candidate and generous research support including funding for a postdoctoral researcher. The deadline for the 2019 applications is November 30, 2018.

Position Summary:
This is a completely grant-funded position with a 250-day contract. This position provides one-on-one pre-college academic advising to 65 UBMS (Upward Bound Math-Science) and 45 FAME (Focus on African-American Males in Education) participants.

Additionally, this position is responsible for the development of summer courses/student class schedules, working closely with high school personnel, college faculty, admissions and financial aid officers. This position assists students with standardized test prep, study skill development, and post-secondary enrollment through the following student engagement/outreach activities: Saturday workshops, after-school tutoring, college tours, STEM enrichment activities, career exploration, parent meetings, FAFSA completion and cultural outings.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Counseling, Student Development, Social Work, STEM discipline or related field.

Experience/Qualifications Requirements:
Minimum of one year of work experience related to teaching, pre-college advising/recruitment, curriculum development, student mentoring or similar outreach position.

Requires excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Requires knowledge of outreach, mentoring and post-secondary enrollment best practices for first-generation, college-bound students and at-risk populations.

Strong administrative skills regarding record-keeping, student tracking, documentation and confidential information.

Must pass BCI and FBI background check. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's license with an insurable driving record. Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed. Must be available some overnight travel for professional conferences, training, and chaperoning student travel.

The Adult Community Clinical Services Program (ACCS) assists more than 450 adults diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness who have been referred by the Department of Mental Health. This is a clinical program based on the principles of Psychiatric Rehabilitation, person-centered planning, and the belief that recovery is possible. Persons served may live on their own, in group homes or in North Suffolk owned properties. Each person served works with an Integrated Team that includes licensed clinicians, psychiatrists, nurses, addiction specialists, peer specialists and community support specialists.

As the Addiction Recovery Counselor, you'll lead the team in working with persons served to understand how substance use and potentially addictive behavior impacts the person's health.
Your goal will be to help the team develop a plan to address the level of use and the impact of substance use and addictive behavior and the persons' readiness for change.
We are offering a $2,000 sign on bonus

Summary: The Asleep Overnight Direct Support Professional 2 will provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities during the overnight hours as needed in Level 2 residential programs. Staff will provide support to individuals who may need daily intervention, supervision and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community. Individuals may require moderate physical assistance or accommodations. Staff will receive specialized training in order to provide enhanced supervision or interventions designed to address multiple disabilities which may include behavioral supports or enhanced medical care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


* Provide support and assist individuals with all activities of daily living during the morning routine.
* Provide assistance to individuals during the overnight shift that may wake up or have needs requiring assistance.
*
* Provide services to individuals according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF and all applicable regulatory standards, and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
* Maintain daily and monthly progress notes, shift checklists and other program documentation according to DDS, DMH and all applicable regulatory standards.
* Complete household cleaning duties as assigned.
* Maintain safety of all individuals while on shift including implementing emergency policies as needed.
* Administer medications according to MAP regulations.
* Maintain core training certifications including CPR/FA, OSHA, CPI, and MAP if applicable.
* Transport individuals as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:


* Must have a high school diploma or GED. Associates or DSP Certification preferred.
* A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
* Bachelor"s degree in related field a plus..

Required Skills/Knowledge:


* Excellent written and oral communication skills so that writing of required documents is clear and articulate.
* Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
* Valid driver"s license and one year of driving experience.
* Computer literacy to include ability to use proficiently Microsoft products and web based applications used by the agency.
Physical Demands:


* While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to climb stairs.
* Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
* The employee must be able to drive a vehicle and regularly meet driving record requirements of the agency.
* Must have a normal range of eyesight with or without corrective lenses.
* Must have a normal range of hearing with or without corrective equipment.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Requires acceptable CORI results according to Bridgewell policy.
