Job Summary:

Evaluates and treats patients requiring speech-language therapy.

Responsibilities:

* Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.

Job Description

Job Summary:

Collects, decontaminates, stores and distributes surgical instruments.

Responsibilities:

* Operates all sterilizing equipment following regulation directives.
* Assembles and maintains specific surgical instruments utilized throughout the facility.
* Inventories and reorders instruments and supplies.
* Performs all required quality assurance tests on equipment and maintains daily records.

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

* Required Credential(s):

* One or more of the following:

* Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
* Certified Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

* HS or Equivalent

* High school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of an approved Central Service Technician course/program preferred


Work Experience:

* One year experience in a Sterile Processing department preferred

Responsibilities:

* Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals.
* Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.
* Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
* Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

* Required Credential(s):

Job Summary:

Applies the appropriate diagnostic and procedural code to patient health records for purposes of document retrieval, analysis and claim processing.

Responsibilities:

* Abstracts pertinent information from patient records. Assigns the International Classification of Diseases, Clinical Modification (ICD), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) or Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes, creating Ambulatory Patient Classification (APC) or Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG) assignments.
