This hourly (non-exempt) position is responsible for providing coordination and support in the consistent application of policies, procedures and practices of the Human Resources department. Areas of focus include employee benefits administration, payroll and recruitment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide administrative support to the employee benefits, payroll and recruitment teams.

Accurately maintain records in the HRIS and applicant tracking systems relative to new hires, terminations, status changes, salary adjustments and benefits administration.

Scan documents and maintain accurate records in electronic employee files, including but not limited to records for the purpose of efficiently administering health and dental benefits, life insurance, long term disability insurance, workers' compensation 401(k) and COBRA.

Write custom reports within the HRIS database and applicant tracking system as well as create spreadsheets, charts and graphs to analyze employee and applicant data.

Coordinate the pre-employment process for candidates that have been offered positions with First American Bank.

Order supplies, create new employee orientation materials, reconcile insurance billing, maintain tuition assistance records, manage the employee service award process and complete verifications of employment.

Provide support during benefit renewals, open enrollment as well as year end payroll activities.

Perform various HR research projects related to compliance and employment law as needed.

Assist the HR department during various audits by gathering appropriate data.

Provide service to both internal and external customers by responding to HR related inquiries via phone and email.

Assist in the planning of companywide events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

A minimum of two years experience in a Human Resources environment with a focus on employee benefits administration.

Working knowledge of federal and state employment law as well as knowledge of HR practices and fundamentals, with experience in areas of benefits compliance, payroll and recruitment preferred.

Banking experience a plus.

Excellent organization and time management skills, with a sharp attention to detail and accuracy required.

Must be results driven with the proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.

Superior time management and follow-up skills required.

Must work well independently as well as part of a team environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.

Must demonstrate the ability to resolve problems and work well with all levels of employees from entry level to executive management.

In addition, due to the nature of the human resource function, the candidate must maturely and discreetly handle highly confidential/sensitive human resource data.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Advanced Excel skills preferred.

Experience in maintaining data within HRIS software preferred.

Database report writing skills preferred.

Crystal Reports, Izenda Reporting and/or ABRA Suite HRIS experience a plus.

Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations may be necessary.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

In a team environment, assists in operating, maintaining and monitoring wastewater and/or water treatment systems, remote facilities, lift stations and solids processing equipment to comply with state and federal permits. Uses all five senses (sight, sound, touch, smell and taste) to recognize and locate process and equipment upsets. Performs entry level repair, electrical/mechanical duties, and associated administrative tasks in the operations and maintenance of wastewater and/or water systems. Will work with oversight provided by Facility Technician II or Facility Technician III. Shift work, call back status, and possible mandatory overtime may be required; performs other duties as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

*
Observes safety regulations; wears required personal protective equipment; follows and enforces recommended safety practices such as lock out/tag out procedures, confined spaces, traffic control and others as established by OSHA and MOSHA;

*
Adjusts chemical feed rates and flow rates, as directed;

*
Learns and frequently performs sampling duties in compliance with certification/regulatory requirements including simple chemical analyses of sampling to determine operational parameters, as well as maintains a log of sampling results;

*
Learns and assists in operation and maintenance of the plant's and revote facilities' sanitary requirements by skimming clarifiers or treatment modules, scrubbing weirs and cleaning rotary and bar screens, flushing wet wells as well as handling chemicals;

*
Assists in maintaining equipment by packing and re-packing rotating equipment, removing pump blockages, replacing air filters, lubricating equipment and maintaining the preventive maintenance schedule for the facility;

*
Learns and assists in operating and maintaining instrumentation and electrical components, including but not limited to re-lamping, maintaining probes and repair of analyzers and meters where present, assists in monitoring telemetry gauges and alarms to ensure proper pressure and water levels and records data at regular intervals;

*
Assists in troubleshooting and repairing all mechanical problems as described above, as well as the continuance of preventive maintenance practices for all areas;

*
Learns and assists in the acquisition of materials through purchasing, including the submittal of purchase requests and the maintenance of a local inventory of supplies by facility;

*
Provides general housekeeping for all facilities, including grounds keeping, general painting, and sweeping, hosing down and the cleaning of tools and equipment;

*
Assists in operating remote facilities;

*
Assists in climbing tanks for inspection, dechlorination, and maintenance.

Learns and uses the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the monitoring of preventive maintenance schedules and the retrieval of work orders and learns and uses computerized process control systems, must also become familiar with applicable work processing and spreadsheet applications.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
