Maintain appropriate certifications (i.e. First Aid, CPR, PAC, Fire Safety, Human Rights, etc.)

Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field

Minimum of two year of experience in developmental disabilities or developmental training program.



Required Skills/Knowledge:

Knowledge and understanding of principles of normalization, behavior management and human rights.

Basic computer skills

*
Valid driver's license and one year of driving experience.

The Behavioral Health Project Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the behavioral health vendor relationship with a focus on the implementation and oversight of new and existing lines of business. The Behavioral Health Project Specialist will also be responsible to identify, implement and measure utilization and quality improvement opportunities to ensure members are receiving clinically appropriate cost effective care.



Qualifications

Required:

- Bachelor's degree

- Project management experience

- Must be detailed oriented, able to work independently in a flexible environment, and able to manage multiple tasks in an efficient, timely manner

- Computer skills required (Word, Excel, Visio and Project Management software)

- Excellent verbal, written, and quantitative analysis skills

- Facilitation of meetings

- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations

- Experience working with behavioral health providers and advocacy organizations

- Public sector managed behavioral health experience preferred

- Experience of working with State agencies to promote collaboration

- Knowledge of the Neighborhood mission and populations

- Experience and/or familiarity with medical expense utilization patterns, trends, benchmarks

- Licensed behavioral health clinician with three to five years of managed behavioral health

- Knowledge of utilization review requirements and process

- Knowledge of quality improvement process and experience and/or familiarity with NCQA and HEDIS, including chart review



Duties and Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the Manager of Behavioral Health in the day-to-day management and oversight of the Plan's behavioral health vendor, including vendor's compliance with purchasing specifications, performance standards, QI activity, implementation of the new lines of business and new services to meet members' behavioral health needs

- Create and monitor project plans to facilitate implementation of new services, programs and lines of business

- Incorporate new lines of business into existing workflows, meetings and monitoring processes

- Oversee compliance of vendor for all terms in either vendor or subcontracts; including but not limited to service level agreements, Medicare and Medicaid Regulations and EOHHS requirements

- Responsible for working with other departments to coordinate any data requirements and consultative services from the behavioral health vendor under the direction of the Manager of Behavioral Health

- Serves as the Behavioral Health Department representative at internal and external meetings, as needed

- Facilitation including agenda setting, documentation, deliverables and follow ups for assigned meetings

- Identification and implementation of process improvements for the Behavioral Health Team

- Review behavioral health reports and prepare relevant reports for team, internal and external customers

- Participate in quality improvement opportunities for the Behavioral Health Team

- Implements special projects as assigned by the Manager of Behavioral Health or Director
