Position Information

The Sustainability Program Coordinator develops, implements and monitors a wide range of short and long-term, campus-wide plans and projects related to campus sustainability. The incumbent would assist in leading the 9 different Working Groups including, Green Building Design, Clean Energy, Climate Protection, Sustainable Transportation, Sustainable Building Operations, Zero Waste, Procurement, Sustainable Food, and Sustainable Water Use. This position will oversee programs that result in institutional change through physical projects and will work with a variety of campus stakeholders to research, pilot, and advance projects that integrate sustainability. The incumbent will assist in recruitment, training, and supervision of student staff with a focus on mentorship that fosters a culture of sustainability on campus that embraces diverse, multicultural notions of caring for the environment. The Sustainability Program Coordinator reports to the Sustainability Officer.

The Maintenance Worker is a member of the Mars Athletic Center staff. They are also responsible for cleaning and maintaining all team locker rooms.

The Maintenance Worker is accountable for high quality job performance in support of the best interests of The Hotchkiss School.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

On a daily basis, this position is responsible for:

* Cleaning and maintenance of the Mars Athletic Center (MAC), including special duties assigned.

* Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning floors

* Cleaning and maintaining locker rooms, team rooms, & bathrooms.

* Removal of Facility garbage and cardboard.

* Cleaning and maintenance of locker rooms used by Hotchkiss and visiting school teams.

* Laundering of team uniforms and personal athletic gear of Hotchkiss students.

* ​Monitoring and fulfilling check out and return of equipment, uniforms, and gear at the cage.

Other Periodic responsibilities include the following:

* Repairing various athletic gear, including football/lacrosse and hockey helmets and face guards.

* Periodic facility support installing netting; seasonal floor buffing; lighting & air vent cleaning, as well as bulb and filter replacement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have the ability and license to safely operate motorized equipment & vehicles.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides Respiratory Care modalities to patients as ordered by physicians, including but not limited to the administration of respiratory related medications, oxygen and humidity therapies, airway clearance therapy, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, etc., in accordance to established policy and procedure and based on accepted national standards, practices and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Administers various respiratory care modalities as ordered by physicians. Conducts pre and post modality assessment through direct contact and chart review. Performs appropriate respiratory assessment; interpretes clinical data; evaluates patient breathing effort, ventilatory pattern, and use of accessory muscles to develop plan of care based on this assessment.


* Develops, administers, evaluates, and modifies plan of care using evidence-based medicine, protocols, clinical practice guidelines and data. Performs and interpretes blood gases, analyzing invasive and non-invasive ventilation and clinical data. Assists in bedside procedures such as broncoscopy, intubation, tracheostomy, and thoracic procedures. May perform trach changes, arterial line insertions, and intubation under the order of a physician.


* Ensures proper selection, assembly, use, and cleaning or disposal of equipment and/or supplies used in the delivery of respiratory services in accordance with infection control practices and based on department policy. Recognizes and rectifies equipment malfunction.


* Communicates effectively with physicians and other providers regarding evaluation of need for therapy and therapeutic outcomes, including recommending alternatives to prescribed therapeutic modalities. Recognizes and responds to modality-related complications and communicates as such with team members.


* Assists with care, sterilization, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Maintains appropriate stock levels of supplies or communicates with appropirate personnel. Orders medication as directed. Communicates with the Supervisor/Charge RT and biomedical engineering department of malfuncting equipment. Acts as steward of resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Upon obtaining the NBRC credential (date printed on the certificate) the employee has (6) months (180 days) to obtain an Illinois State License as issued by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. Failure to obtain such license will result in termination of employment at the end of the "grace period."

The employee is responsible to maintain his/her State License in an active/current status while employed with Presence Health. Failure to do so will result in suspension without pay until obtained and/or termination.

Education and/or Experience

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program required.

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office software and electronic medical record experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

NBRC credentialed RRT or registry eligible with completion within 6 months (180 days). BLS, CPR, and IL state license required. ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.

SUMMARY

The Security Officer performs all requirements and necessary actions to ensure the safety and security of the staff, patients, visitors and Presence Health property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Conducts patrol rounds, inside and outside as scheduled or assigned, observing, investigating and documenting all unusual or suspicious incidents and initiating corrective action as appropriate. Informs Director, Manager, Supervisor or Officer in Charge, of unusual activities, investigations, observations and actions taken.


* Performs additional duties such as, but not limited to, producing employee ID badges, providing escorts and responding to routine and emergency calls for assistance.


* Responds to all physically violent situations that may arise at the hospital and all hospital code situations during assigned shift.
